Stewardship Campaign for 2027

This has been another interesting year. We have continued to sustain our fellowship with each other and

our outreach to the community while moving forward with the construction of our new sanctuary. Just look

out the windows to see the progress we are making! The mustard seeds have been planted. We will tend

the new growth with love and soon we will sit in the shade of their flourishing.

2026 has been a year of planning and setting into motion. 2027 will be a year of building, finishing, moving and excitement! We are limited in how much we can grow in our current space, but evangelism and growth will be critical for our long-term success. To make this future possible, we are making significant investments in worship enhancements such as the planned hiring of a Youth and Family Pastor, a full-time Music and Worship Minister and professional technical support personnel. Fortunately, we have savings and investment funds available to get us through the next couple of years until we grow sufficiently to be self-sustaining. But to be clear, these additions are expensive. The draft budget for 2027 predicts that expenses will exceed our income by over $400,000. We can cover this deficit using our savings for one more year, but after that we will need a combination of increased congregation giving (on the order of 3 times higher) or other financial actions by the beginning of 2028,

To continue this work of sharing God’s love with all, we need your help. We need you to commit to supporting the church and its ministries for the coming year. The Stewardship Campaign will run 11 October thru 1 November, with messages from the pulpit and from members of the congregation. We humbly ask you to give of your Time, Talent and Treasure, as generously as you are able. We will conclude the formal Stewardship campaign on Sunday 1 November, All Saints Day, an appropriate time for us all to remember those who have gone before us and to consider how fortunate we are for our many blessings.

Please reach deep into yourself (and your pockets, and your schedule), and contribute what you are able. If you haven’t made a commitment in the past, now is a great time to do it. If you’ve done it before, please seriously consider increasing your level of giving. Join the others of this congregation by filling out the enclosed pledge slip and return it by mail, in the offering plate, enter an intention to give on our website at https://www.bearcreekchristian.org/giving or contact the church office at 719-633-8888 or email accountant@bearcreekchristian.org.

While we will build our 2027 budget using the pledges collected during the campaign, it is never too late to submit a pledge or to bump it up a notch or two!!
